The Leggero brings straighter lines and a more rectangular, vintage shape to Ombraz's armless lineup — a retro silhouette with modern performance, and at 22.2g one of the lightest frames in the range.

Like all Ombraz, the arms are replaced by a built-in cord: they won't fall off, won't slip down your nose, and there are no hinges or screws to break. With no arms they fold flat and pack anywhere.

Materials

  • Frame: TR-90
  • Includes neoprene case with built-in microfiber cloth
Product care
  • Lenses: wash with warm water and a mild soap, then wipe dry with a clean towel.
  • Don't use abrasive glass cleaners or harsh chemicals — they strip the lens coatings.
  • Cord: rinse with warm water and mild soap to lift out sweat, salt and sunscreen, then pull it through a clean towel and let it dry.
  • The cord is marine-grade and won't be damaged by salt water, but rinsing it regularly stops build-up.
  • Store them in the neoprene case when you're not wearing them — it has a microfibre cloth built in.
Size & fit

Ombraz have no arms — an adjustable cord runs around the back of your head instead, and Ombraz state the cords fit all head sizes. What you're choosing when you pick a size is the width of the frame across your face. Regular fits about 80% of customers.

Ombraz's own check is the credit card test: hold a card on its edge against the centre of your nose, pointing out toward your eye. If it roughly touches the corner of your eye you're a Regular; past the corner, look at Narrow; short of it, look at XL.

  • Start with the cord loose, place the frames on your nose, guide the cord above your ears, then pull the adjusters gently apart.
  • Wearing a hat or helmet? Run the cord over the top of it.
